Course Description:

Personal Finance teaches students the fundamental skills needed to succeed in an increasingly complex financial world. Regardless of their path after high school, it is critical for all students to understand our economy and how to make smart, focused decisions with their income. As new topics are introduced, students will learn not only the individual decisions that will affect their financial health, but also the larger macroeconomic forces that are driving our national economy. Students participate in a 10-week stock market game learning investment strategies, analyzing companies and industries, and understanding the relationship between risk and reward as they manage a $100,000 stock portfolio.
