Term: On Demand, Spring 2018
Prerequisites:

English I & II or equivalant

Course Description:

In this segment of English IV, Words as Tools of Poetry and Satire, students will read a variety of texts, many of which are poetic and satiric pieces. They will learn what defines each piece of writing and how to analyze such pieces at the level expected of an English 12 student. In turn, they also will craft their own poetry and argumentative writing. An honors section of this segment is available that would allow students to demonstrate proficiency in these skills at a higher level and with more demanding texts.
