Part-Time and Full-Time Online Enrollment for Home Study Students
As part of Act 77 (Flexible Pathways), VTVLC is excited to offer part-time and full-time learning options for home study students.
Vermont home study families may request support from their local school for enrollment in up to 2 courses per semester (0.4 FTE) and still remain under home study status with the state of Vermont.
Vermont home study families may request support from their local school for enrollment as a full-time online student with VTVLC. However, the student will need to enroll as a full-time student with the local school, and would no longer be considered a home study student.
Vermont home study families may retain their home study status in the full-time, online program if they elect to pay the remaining course fees. *
Request for Enrollment:
1.) Complete Home Study Enrollment Release Form (For Vermont residents only)
2.) Submit form to the local school your child would attend if he/she attended public school*
3.) Return form to Lucey Gagner at VTVLC – lgagner(at)vtvlc.org
4.) Have your child create their student account (your guardian account will be created during this process)
5.) Register for courses!
Homestudy Cost – $3000 per student per semester (sibling discounts available)
It is the responsibility of the home study parent to return the completed form to VTVLC before the course start dates. See the VTVLC Academic Calendar for Traditional enrollment start dates. On Demand courses begin on the 1st and 15th of each month. Registration and paperwork must be submitted 7 days prior to the start date for On Demand.
* Regardless of the option selected by your school’s building administrator, in Section B of the Home Study Enrollment Support Release Form, your request for support of 2 courses per semester (0.4 FTE) may be directly provided by VTVLC. Electing to self-pay for the remaining (0.6 FTE) will retain the families home study status.
