Senator Sanders Wants to Hear From You!

Each year, Senator Sanders invites Vermont’s high school students to write a 250-500 word essay focusing on what they believe are the major challenges facing our country, and how to solve them. The deadline to submit an essay is January 10, 2018. The essays will be judged by a panel of teachers. The 20 finalists will be invited to participate in a round table discussion with Senator Sanders, and their essays will be published in the Congressional Record – the official archive of the U.S. Congress. For more information on the contest, or to submit an essay for consideration, please visit: or call (800) 339-9834. Download PDF
