Today was very active, as are all our days. This morning we walked to Whalebone Bay for our first research snorkel. Students were expected to collect data on fish species and their abundance. They also took photos that will be made into video files for each research snorkel.
This afternoon we went to the Bermuda Aquarium and Zoo where we became acquainted with many of the organisms that we will observe this week.
Tonight we went out on one of the BIOS boats to collect plankton that we observed in the lab. We found a number of interesting organisms. Below is an urchin larva.
