Learning Recovery is for students who:
have taken a course previously, but not received credit. This program works best for students who need to make up credits to graduate on schedule, have other commitments and need flexible scheduling, could benefit from a different learning environment.
Summer Semester is for students who:
are taking a course for the first time to earn high school credit. This program works best for students who would like to graduate early, could use flexibility in their schedule for the upcoming school year &/or could benefit from an enrichment program.
Six week session: June 29, 2016 – August 9, 2016
Optional Two week extension: August 10, 2016 – August 23, 2016
Time commitment of approximately 2 hours per day, 5 days a week.
It is the responsibility of the student to determine their school’s acceptance of Learning Recovery. The session is designed to supplement the previously received course work instructed at the students’ home school to recover the high school course credit.
This program allows students to pretest and identify specific content areas within the course to complete with the support of the teacher.
Eight Week Accelerated Semester:
June 29, 2016 – August 23, 2016
Time commitment of approximately 2-3 hours per day, 5 days a week.
It is the responsibility of the student to determine their school’s acceptance for high school credit. The semester is designed for students who have not previously had exposure to the course material and is the equivalent of 16 weeks of instruction.
Summer semester has fixed start and end dates with access to an abbreviated course catalog.
Six-week Session – $275*
Two-week Extension – $150
Allows students to take up to an additional two weeks (8 weeks total) to complete the program.
Refunds will not be granted if a student elects to drop a course after the first day of the session.
$300 / 0.5 credit for partner school students
$400 / 0.5 credit for VT non-partner students
$500 / 0.5 credit for out of state students

All summer semester and learning recovery courses will be offered online and do not require the student to attend class in person.
Students can take summer courses any time, any place, allowing for greater flexibility in their summer plans.
All courses are taught by Vermont licensed educators.
Summer programs are not covered by the VTVLC partnership agreement. Students who attend partner schools receive a discounted rate.
*Partner school students receive a 15% discount for the six week session.
