Welcome, Teachers!

Adjunct Faculty Employment Opportunities

VTVLC is consistently seeking adjunct faculty in all content areas for grades 7-12. In addition to a Vermont educator content area endorsement, all applicants must have the Vermont Online Teaching Specialist (OTS) endorsement in order to teach students from a distance who are enrolled in online coursework.

If you are a Vermont licensed educator and do not have an Online Teaching Specialist endorsement and would like to learn more, visit The Northeast Online Teaching Institute.

If you are interested in teaching for VTVLC through the VTVLC Partnership, feel free to give us a call or talk with your local administration.

Any Vermont public school, CTE Center, AEL provider, or independent school drawing public education funding are eligible to use the VTVLC Learning Ecosystem at no cost. This system includes Canvas (LMS) and all statewide licensed content to support local blended/hybrid courses. Each local instance will be branded to the local school and can be locally managed. Certificate in Online Teaching

All Vermont educators facilitating online course work with Vermont students must obtain the 5440-25 Online Teaching Specialist (OTS) endorsement.

The holder of an OTS endorsement is authorized to teach students from a distance who are enrolled in online coursework. The endorsement is an add-on endorsement only and is limited to holders of PK-12 teaching endorsements.

If the designated online teacher does not hold the OTS endorsement, they will need to complete a Certificate in Online Teaching program. The Northeast Online Teaching Institute (NEOTI) is a collaborative program between VTVLC and Castleton University to prepare VTVLC faculty for online teaching.
